4. Sorry but Tricky is probably the most overrated artist labeled with Trip-Hop music. Nothing personal against him, but his music isn't as mindblowing as his contemporaries...Portishead, Massive Attack, Bjork, even Morcheeba.

7. GWAR is AWESOME! You just have to look at them from the angle of a Saturday morning cartoon with adult themes. Not to mention, I've never seen a band explore so many avenues of music in one career. They've done Punk, Metal, Jazz, Lounge, rap, comedy and even country. Most of those all on one album. But if you don't like them, that's fine, more for me...

14. The first album of Hoover(phonic) is also a great triphop album. The rest of them is also very good, only sometimes less triphop. The title of the first album is 'a new stereophonic sound spectacular'.

17. Rootless, Attica Blues, Animals on Wheels... most of the early pussyfoot records stuff would pass too. not to forget the early ninja tune acts like 9lazy9 or amon tobin
18. Well my trip-hop list is composed of (out of portishead of course): The Herbaliser, Terranova, Tricky, Morcheeba (Big Calm and Who Can you trust albums only), EZ3kiel, Bonobo, Archive (w/ Londinium album only), Crustation, Earthling (another pure trip-hop band), Sneaker Pimps, Wax Taylor
19. One of the few bands that sound better in concert than they actually do on record (and that's saying a lot since their albums are the sh*t). So can't wait to see them this year.

23. i guess u're right. never looked at it from that perspective. that's true with most of the eccentric musicians/singers.
24. l don't like bands for what clothes they wear either and i totally agree with u. about the release of energy- u're definitely right. but still i get bored at a performance if the musicians or/ and the singer don't move during the entire show because i like eventually energy and movement.
